Chess-vs-CHEXCALIBUR™

Bobby Ficsher -vs- Boris Spasky
************************************

In Chess you are after or focused on one piece, the King.
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ you are going after all of the knights and horses of the opposition and you can even offer resistance to the King & Queen even though they are immortal.

In Chess the king is the weakest piece on the board (wasn't the King the most powerful in Medieval Times).
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ the King is the most powerful piece on the board and you can offer resistance.

In Chess the game board is 8 x 8 squares or spaces.
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ the game board is 12 x 12 spaces, yet the game board plays smaller than a Chess or Checker board.

In Chess you are somewhat limited to what you are going to do, because of limited strategies.
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ you have so many more variations of strategy that many of them won't be discovered for many many years (we have been playing for 7 years +).

In Chess you have one level of play.
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ you have 6 levels or chapters of play. (CHEXCALIBUR™ can never be boring, just looking at the board).

In Chess you can have stalemate or tie games. ******When Vladimir Kramnik beat Gary Kasparov for the World Championship, 13 of the 15 games were tie games (see story below).******
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ there can be no tie games and there is no chance, luck, or hidden secrets involved while playing even from the start of the game, such as who moves 1st or 2nd. Society does not allow for ties. As time progresses we see less and less of tie situations. Over the past 30 years different sports have looked for ways to avoid ties. Nobody wants to pay money to go to a sporting event to see a tie game. Nobody wants to play poker all night long and end up even. "A tie is like kissing your sister." As we surge into the fast paced high-tech society in this new millennium there won't be time for ties. Everytime there is a tie there is a do-over or another game to find out who is the real winner. Look at our country when we had a tie for president, we couldn't wait to find out the answer or the outcome. The economy stood still until there was an answer. Society will need finality, there just won't be time for ties. There will be a Million Dollar Prize offered to the first tie game scenario that is discovered (see introduction).

In Chess the game can be dominated by one person or group of people. Gary Kasparov was reigning World Champion for 15 years. Boris Spasky and Bobby Fischer both had their times of domination.
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ we believe that no one person nor group of people could dominate the game. If you know what your doing and you have great knowledge of the game, you could stand up against anybody no matter what their "calibur" of play was. Because nobody can dominate CHEXCALIBUR™, the Big Money Internet Tournament (see introduction) would virtually be wide-open for anyone to win everytime it was played (no domination by anybody). It would be a wide-open exciting event everytime it was played.

In Chess when you are playing the white pieces as opposed to black pieces, the board set-up will seem reversed. You could have an advantage by moving first or at a disadvantage because you are playing white pieces when your last 6 games were with the black pieces (play would seem reversed).
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ when you change colors or sides, the board set-up always remains the same. You would never have an advantage or be at a disadvantage because of the side of the game board you are sitting on (chance or luck). We believe that the person that moves second in CHEXCALIBUR™ has an advantage (unlike any other strategy game).

In Chess all of your pieces always have the same power all of the time.
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ you can put a powerless knight on a powerless horse (your's or your opponent's) to create "Warrior Power". The King can escort his knights or hold opposing knights as hostage. The Queen can escort her horses or hold opposing horses as hostage. There is all kinds of options for combining pieces to where they move as one piece. Many more strategy angles are created by these maneuvers that won't be discovered for many many years.

In Chess when you get behind it is tough to comeback and win. A lot of times you may want to give up or quit. This maneuver is shown by knocking your king over (admitting defeat). Too many Chess games can end like this.
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ it is amazing how far down you can be and still win. The ability to comeback in CHEXCALIBUR™ is like that of a wild backgammon game where everybody is rolling doubles on the dice every turn. Once you witness the "comeback power" in CHEXCALIBUR™ you will never want to give up or quit.

In Chess you have a plain or "bland" game board,
usually with 2 colors and a trim band of color around the outer edge.
******In CHEXCALIBUR™ you have a beautiful multi-colored animated game board to where all of the colors mean something (they aren't just there for flash). The north castle -vs- south castle layout, magic court-slides, magic warp-way, dungeons, dragon pits, moats, drawbridges, magic power rings, secret passages, catapults, "castle riches", "magic stuff", immortal & mortal pieces, and the many many simple, complex defensive & offensive strategies yet to be discovered make CHEXCALIBUR™ a game to be reckoned with.

Story: Vladimir Kramnik -vs- Gary Kasparov
for the World Chess Championship.

Vladimir Kramnik won games #2 and #10, the other 13 were draws or tie games.
************************************
CHEXCALIBUR¡™ will personally challenge all Chess players, no matter what their "calibur" of play. There are 6 chapters (levels) of play in CHEXCALIBUR™. We challenge all Chess players, Chess grandmasters, and alike to just experience Chapter One and attempt to master it. Our claim is that you cannot master Chapter One (introduction level) and there are 5 more chapters after that, which really make this game. Also there is the challenge of the "One Million Dollars" that may be awarded to the first tie game scenario (in any chapter of play). CHEXCALIBUR™ is a pure strategy battle game and there in no chance or luck involved (even who goes 1st or 2nd). No tie games (maybe)?
************************************
"When comparing Chess to CHEXCALIBUR™, you can even see the difference in the colorful name."
************************************

There have been many attempts to change the rules of Chess to make it more interesting game and possible looking for less tie games.

The game of CHEXCALIBUR™ is more like an actual battle, more so than Chess.
CHEXCALIBUR™ may have a "Multi-Million Dollar Tournament" on the internet and CHEXCALIBUR™ may award "One Million Dollars" to the 1st tie game scenario.
************************************
The "CHEXCALIBUR™ Gaming Club" could be the most elite gaming club in the world.
************************************

As you can see the "Excalibur Casino" is already aware of
the presence of CHEXCALIBUR™.

A special THANKS
to The Elkhart Truth (Arden Erickson & staff), WSJV Fox 28 TV
(Larry Ford & staff), and all of the people that have played
my game. THANKS
for taking the time to give thoughts and input on CHEXCALIBUR, the new strategy battle game. And a
very special THANKS to all of the CHEXCALIBUR club members and staff at Cleveland
Elementary School. THANKS
for letting me bring my game into your school for the 3rd year in
a row.

Please e-mail me with your questions & comments about this
website and "Merlynn's Six Magic Chapters of CHEXCALIBUR". And please check out our "link" where collector gameboards are being sold. If CHEXCALIBUR becomes more popular than Chess
someday, how much would an original handmade, handcrafted &
designed, and handpainted by the creator/inventor game be worth.
What an investment as there will only be limited numbers until it
is produced by a "Big Game Company". You are welcome
& encouraged to sign my guest book. "Thanks very
much!"
